I'm a fan of the book, but also the old, animated movie of the classic Animal Farm that was made by a British animation company in 1954. Anyone else a fan?

I think I've heard of it...
I'll look it up soon enough!

I've neither read the book nor watched any of the movies, but it does seem like an interesting story.

I love the book. Great book. Glad they made us read it in school.

In school I was made to read The Outsiders (One of the better ones I remember), Flowers For Algernon (Sweet, but very sad), Things Fall Apart (OMG, I hate this book!), and Romeo and Juliet (even though I believe this should be classified as "performing arts" and not "literature").
I know there were more, but those are the only books that were interesting enough for me to remember.[/size]

Animal Farm is pretty much a satire on Soviet totalitarianism and the Russian Revolution. It's just a great novel; Orwell rocks. And if anybody ever intends to watch the movie of it, make sure it's the 50's animated one. They made another movie of it in the 90's or something, with that same kind of technology as in "Babe," but it's just a crappy version, to me. It doesn't give the right vibe, and it isn't as accurate to the book as the older movie is.
